The best time to visit is March to June (spring & summer) for pleasant weather and October to December for stunning winter landscapes. January & February may have heavy snowfall, affecting travel to Gurudongmar Lake.

You can reach Gangtok via Bagdogra Airport (IXB) in West Bengal, which is about 125 km away, or by train through New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station. From there, private cabs and shared taxis are available.

Yes, permits are mandatory for visiting North Sikkim, including Lachen and Gurudongmar Lake. We arrange these for you; you only need to provide passport-size photos and a valid government ID.

Summer (March–June): Light woolens, comfortable clothing, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
Winter (October–February): Heavy woolens, thermal wear, gloves, and sturdy shoes.
Rainy Season (July–September): Waterproof jackets and umbrellas.

Gurudongmar Lake is at 17,800 feet, and some visitors may experience altitude sickness. It is not advisable for children below 5 years, elderly travelers with health issues, or those with breathing problems. It’s best to acclimatize in Gangtok before proceeding.

We offer standard, deluxe, and luxury hotels in Gangtok and Lachen. Due to the remote nature of Lachen, accommodation options are basic but comfortable, with limited electricity and heating.

The package includes daily breakfast and dinner at the hotels. Lunch is usually not included but can be arranged at local restaurants during sightseeing.

The road to Gurudongmar Lake is scenic but rough and bumpy in some sections. Travel is done by SUVs/MUVs due to the terrain. Weather conditions can sometimes cause delays.

Nathula Pass is not part of this itinerary but can be included as an optional tour from Gangtok (only open on select days and requires an additional permit).
