About this tour

Char Dham Yatra: A Sacred Journey to Spiritual Bliss

Char Dham Yatra is one of the most revered pilgrimage circuits in India, covering four holy shrines—Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. Nestled in the pristine Himalayas of Uttarakhand, this sacred journey holds immense significance for Hindu devotees seeking spiritual salvation. Every year, thousands of pilgrims undertake this holy journey to seek blessings and cleanse their souls.

Significance of Char Dham Yatra

The Char Dham Yatra is believed to cleanse sins and pave the path to Moksha (liberation). Each shrine has its own religious importance:

  • Yamunotri: The source of River Yamuna, dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, symbolizing purity and devotion.
  • Gangotri: The origin of River Ganga, devoted to Goddess Ganga, who descended from heaven to purify humanity.
  • Kedarnath: One of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, known for its spiritual energy and breathtaking location.
  • Badrinath: A temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, part of the Chota Char Dham, attracting devotees seeking divine blessings.

Best Time to Visit

The Char Dham Yatra is open from April/May to October/November. The best time to embark on this journey is between May and June or September to October, avoiding the heavy monsoon season. The pleasant weather during these months ensures a comfortable pilgrimage.

How to Reach

  • By Air: The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, Dehradun, offering connectivity to major cities.
  • By Rail: Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun are the closest railway stations, serving as major entry points.
